Week 1 Day 1

What a blast!  It started like Christmas morning - complete with suitable soundtrack - as we unpacked and set up our new cameras.  Then straight down to business with the exploration of time.  The afternoon was spent in darkened room painting with light.  That pretty much covers photography really — time and light.  What else could we possibly do for the rest of the week!?

Here's a selection of pics from our day… nothing too revealing because we want to keep the best shots secret until our Slideshow Showdown with family and friends on Friday evening.

Adults Only 'One Night Stand™' — what a blast!

We had a fabulous time last night with a great group of newbie light painters who threw themselves into the challenge.  We all discovered new things about photography and produced some stunning images.  Here's a just a few animations of our many pictures with more to come.

We've been shouting about our Photo School for kids — week-long courses and One Day Wonders™ — but we're hearing from a lot of adults who want to get creative with their cameras too.  So… how about a ONE NIGHT STAND™ Bring Your Tripod!!??

Light painting creates magical imagery that expands what can be done with a camera.  Bring a Digital SLR camera if you have one or experiment with one of ours.  Learn about long exposures and apertures.

Friday 20th July, 8 'til late.  Sausage and salad BBQ included.  Meet at Yasmin's studio in Les Effards, St Sampsons.  Limited spaces available.

We'll munch while planning our light painting shoot then move into the studio to record some fantastic photonics.  If weather permits we'll also head down to the beach for some late-night watery shininess!
